Born in Moscow in 1991, Mering began his musical journey as a clarinetist under the guidance of Ivan Mozgovenko at the Gnessin Music School.
He further honed his skills at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles under Professor Philippe Cuper, winning multiple international clarinet competitions along the way.

He later pursued conducting at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Professor Vladimir Ponkin and received additional mentorship from
Maestro Michał Klauza.

It is also important to highlight the lasting impact of Sophie Rachlin’s masterclasses in Vienna, which have played a pivotal role in shaping Mering’s conducting technique.

Mering’s conducting career was further propelled by his appointment as assistant to Maestro Evan Rogister for a joint production of Wagner’s Lohengrin at the Bolshoi Theatre and the Metropolitan Opera.
His debut at the Bolshoi Theatre included conducting Der Schauspieldirektor
by Mozart and Pimpinone by Telemann, both of which received critical acclaim.

Mering has performed with major orchestras such as the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra,
Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Bolshoi Theatre Symphony Orchestra, among others. His dynamic musical approach and exceptional leadership continue to captivate audiences, establishing him as one of the most exciting conductors of his generation.
